Proton Piercing Point is formulated with gentian violet which is a potent bactericidal and antifungal agent that is often used in hospitals for the treatment of severe burns and skin lesions. 

Proton Piercing Point is recommended for use in sterile cups and with sterile sticks to mark the area. It should be noted that Gentian Violet stains heavily, so care should be taken when handling the bottle and never dispose of it in the sewage system. Instead, dispose of it in the hazardous waste container for environmentally friendly destruction.
